Jennifer's Prom

Hi my name is Jennifer, I wear braces and walk with a walker because I have CP.
Well, my prom was pretty cool, For the longest time, I wanted to ask this guy I knew,
Anthony that I'd been crushing on seriously for like the whole year. We kind of hung out
in with the same crowd and I always thought that because of my disability that he didn't
take me serious. I was so petrified to make a fool out of myself. It was amazing! All I
had to do was ask him. To think that I worried so much about asking him and he said yes
right away. I wish I would have known because it would have saved me a lot of worry. The
night of the prom, when Anthony came to pick me up, I was so nervous that I couldn't even
stand it. I kept wondering what he was thinking. Outside the Limo was waiting with my
friends and their dates. We got in and off to the prom we went. I fully expected to just
hang around the prom and not dance. To my surprise, at the first slow dance, Anthony took
my hand, pushed my walker to the side and guided me to the dance floor. He held me up to
support me while keeping me close to him and we danced the night away. I tell you that it
was so romantic, we danced to almost every song. I felt like a princess.
Anyway, after the prom we all go into the Limo and then went to the supermarket to grab
some food because we were going to the beach. When we got there, all of my friends jumped
out of the Limo and started running towards the water. Of course I couldn't do that. I was
amazed again as Anthony picked me up and started running with everyone else. He made it
such a wonderful night for me. One that I will never forget.
