The Dawning of a New Day

By: Rob Roberts
Third Day Resources
http://www.thirddayresources.com

For 16 years, Rob Roberts suffered physically,
emotionally and spiritually from symptoms of diabetes.
According to Rob, Every aspect of life is adversely
affected by abnormal blood sugars, especially your
relationship with God, wife and family. I became
desperate and would buy a lot of products to help me
try to manage my blood sugar problems with no results.
My conventional and naturopathic doctors could not
diagnose exactly what my body needed to correct itself
from a continual menacing abnormal blood sugar
condition.

According to the International Diabetes Federation,
diabetes currently affects 194 million people
worldwide with a prediction of 333 million by 2025.
This equates to a new diabetic being diagnosed every
40 seconds.

The American Diabetes Association states that 41
million people in the U.S., ages 40 to 74 have
pre-diabetes. This is a condition where blood glucose
levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough
to be diagnosed as diabetes. Recent research has shown
that some long-term damage to the body, especially the
heart and circulatory system, may already be occurring
during pre-diabetes.

As the number of people with diabetes grows worldwide,
the disease takes an ever-increasing proportion of
national health care budgets. Because of its chronic
nature, the severity of its complications and the
means required to control them, diabetes is a costly
disease, not only for the affected individual and
his/her family, but also for the health authorities.

According to the World Health Organization, diabetes
is projected to become one of the world’s main
disablers and killers within the next twenty-five
years. The number of deaths related to diabetes is
considerably underestimated. A more plausible figure
is likely to be around 4 million deaths per year
related to the presence of the disorder. This is about
9% of the global total. Many of these diabetes related
deaths are from cardiovascular complications. Most of
them are premature deaths when the people concerned
are economically contributing to society. This
situation is increasingly outstretching the
health-care resources devoted to diabetes.

Conventional medicine is not enough to combat the
world-wide diabetes epidemic. Presently, Chinese
hospitals are prescribing a herbal formula called
Combetic for their diabetic patients because of its
long term 600 year history of safe effectiveness. The
popularity of Combetic is increasing as patients
request natural herbal alternative rather than
conventional diabetic drugs.

As the years went by, Rob tried various health
supplement products with no relief for his
degenerative blood sugar problems. Rob vented his
frustrations on a forum for diabetics. A response came
back from Dr. Joseph Khoo from Singapore. Dr. Khoo
introduced Rob to Combetic and during the days that
followed, Rob finally had his blood sugar problems
stabilized and at the proper levels. Rob now has a new
lease on life and is now the President of Third Day
Resources to offer Combetic as an alternative
supplement for diabetic customers.

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,
a series of principles and policies have been
formulated by the Party and the government to protect
and promote traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The
policy of "Developing modern medicine and traditional
Chinese medicine" was officially put down in the
Constitution. To meet the needs of developing TCM, the
state Council established the State Administration of
Traditional Chinese Medicine (SATCM) in 1987. TCM
began in China over four thousand years ago. But its
methods have no geographic bounds.

Today, it's practiced the world over. Chinese herbs
don't only come from China, they come from everywhere
around the world.

In the 1970's the Chinese government sponsored a study
focused on the large number of people living to over
100 years old in certain provinces in Southern China.
They discovered the centenarians had one thing in
common. They all drank a tea brewed from a local herb
called Jiaogulan. The locals called the modest
mountain "the immortality herb. There is now three
decades of research on Jiaogulan (scientifically known
as Gynostemma Pentaphyllum) and its effects on health.

Author Michael Blumert and Dr. Jialiu Liu even wrote a
book about Jiaogulan called,"Jiaogulan: China's
Immortality Herb."

Combetics main herbal ingredient is the leaf and stem
of Jiagulan or Gynostemma Pentaphyllum is rich in
amino acids, antioxidants and minerals. Clinic studies
has shown it helps maintain the cholesterol,
triglyceride and lipoprotein levels, improve
cardiovascular function and lower blood pressure by
increasing blood flow, stimulate tissues to help
assist recovery, strengthens the immune system, and
protects the body from free radical damage. The Radix
herbs of Combetic help many functions of the
digestive, circulatory and blood sugar regulating
organs. Gynostemma Pentaphyllum, (Jiao Gu Lan) also
referred to as a "miracle grass", is a powerful
adaptogenic herb (meaning to help the body regulate
itself) from the cucumber family. This herb grows
traditionally in a mountainous region in South Central
China, an area known for the longevity of its
inhabitants and reportedly low rates of cardiovascular
disease and cancer.
